Frankenstein in Sussex by H.C. Artmann was first released
in 1969. The short story had already been translated into Japanese by Tanemura Suehiro three years later.
On November 16, 1996 a play of the translation took place
in Fujino/Japan. The large-sized illustrations are edits of analogue photos that had been taken during the performance.
